Frequently Asked Questions for PodPoster

Launching the app:
Q: What should I expect when I launch the app?
A: You will see and be able to search the alphabetical directory of podcasts (updated weekly; add your podcast info at http://www.podposter.com). Simply find the podcast you'd like to comment on, then follow the prompts. If you encounter any problems, go back one step or back to the beginning.
Q: Once I find a podcast I want to comment about, what are the option?
A: You can "Go To iTunes" to listen to the podcast, or click on the Feedback button. Then click Record. When recording, make sure to speak the name and date of the show so the podcaster knows what you're commenting about.
Q: How long can my comment be?
A: Our current limit is 30 seconds. That should be enough to make your point (a minute of audio airtime is considered an eternity!). Click Record. When you see the recording counter start, speak clearly into your iPhone's microphone -- not too close and not too loud. Click Stop if you are done before the 30 seconds are up.
Q: Can I review my comment before sending to make sure I'm happy with it?
A: Yes, click the Play button. If you're happy, click Send Feedback; if you want to re-record, hit Record again.
Q: What happens when I click Send Feedback?
A: You will be asked to "select your comment type" -- Positive, Negative, or General. This helps the podcaster easily identify the nature of your feedback. Your PodPoster audio comment will then be ready to Send. KEEP IN MIND THAT YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WILL BE VISIBLE TO THE RECIPIENT. PodPoster doesn't censor or screen your message, but we are hoping you will act responsibly.
Q: Where does my comment go?
A: It is sent to an address the podcaster has provided for receiving audience comments and/or feedback. If you receive any kind of error message regarding the transmission of your comment, please report it to us at info@podposter.com so we can troubleshoot.
Q: What's the My Feedback feature?
A: There you can manage, save, replay, or delete previous comments you've sent and/or recorded.
Q: What's the More feature?
A: That lets you Contact Us at info@podposter.com, and/or Add Your Podcast at http://www.podposter.com. You can also use the Plus sign (+) in the app to recommend a podcast you'd like us to add to the directory. There are more options under the Links tab.
We hope you enjoy PodPoster and find it helpful -- whether you are a listener interacting with programs or a podcaster interested in what your audience really has to say. We wanted to make podcasting more of a two-way medium (isn't that what the Internet is all about?).
