This testing was done on the 2nd generation iPod Touch.
When the Touch slowly approaches the point of no memory, there is a standard Apple message that will pop-up warning you that memory is low, which stops the recording. When there is no memory, Voxie no longer records – the time counting stops – but does not show the user anything else. It still appears as if it is recording, due to the record symbol being shadowed out and the wave form still being active. The user may even bring up a new recording, but not record. So, there will be no message from Voxie telling the user that there is no memory left. But you will see the message from Apple built into the iPhone/iPod Touch.
