FAQ's on Saving and Sending Recordings

Q: How do I view all categories?

A: Your recordings are automatically stored without a category. But you can assign your recordings a category before you save them or when editing them. If you want to see all recordings in a particular category, click the Recordings button at the bottom of the screen. Then, if you don’t already see a list of all categories, simply click the Categories button at the top left of the screen. You will now see a list of all categories, including the built in categories called All Recordings and Not Categorized. To see the recordings in any category, simply click the category name in the list.

Q: Why can't I delete the Not Categorized and All Recordings categories?

A: These are built-in categories that Voxie needs to help you store your recordings and they can not be deleted.

Q: Where do I edit an existing recording?

A: To edit an existing recording, find the recording in the Recordings screen of Voxie. Click the blue arrow to the right of the recording you want to edit. The recording will load in the Record screen. Now you can rename it, assign it a category or status or click Record to append additional audio to the end of the recording.

Q: Can I change the title or categorize a recording that was previously recorded?

A: Yes, simply find the recording in the Recordings screen of Voxie. Click the blue arrow to the right of the recording you want to edit. The recording will load in the Record screen. Simply tap Add Title or Categorize, make your selection or edit, then tap Actions and Save Only.

Q: Can I resend or email a recording to another person after it's saved?

A: Yes, simply find the recording in the Recordings screen of Voxie. Click the blue arrow to the right of the recording you want to edit. The recording will load in the Record screen. Simply tap Done and select the action you want.

Q: How large of a file can I send?

A: Voxie will allow you to send up to a 5MB recording. The length of this recording will depend on the quality you used when making the recording. You can change the quality in the Settings screen. Use Normal quality to be able to send longer recordings. If you have a recording larger than 5MB that you want to copy from your iPhone, use Wi-Fi Sync (see Wi-Fi Sync FAQ section).

Q: How does my iPhone send my recordings?

A: Your iPhone can’t send the file directly, so Voxie uses the Voxiemail server to send your recordings. The recipient will receive an attractively designed HTML email with full recording attached in AIFF format.

Q: If the recordings I send are not being received, how do I troubleshoot Voxie?

A: See this link: http://bottlerocketapps.zendesk.com/forums/25424/entries/30456
